The School is responsible for coordinating all graduate programmes from the various Schools, Faculties, Departments and Centres within the University. This involves supporting in developing cutting-edge programmes to address national and global needs, programme diversification and efficient teaching and delivering of programmes that is abreast of time. In addition, to ensure the churn out of high quality graduates it has the qualified faculty to handle the teaching and supervision of research. The School ensures that all other ancillary services are top-notch and conducted professionally to all stakeholders.
Programmes offered in the School are unique and crafted to sharpen the hands-on skills of students. Every student is unique and the graduate education is tailored to identify this uniqueness and provide a rewarding experience. At this level, the graduate school coursework is more focused and in-depth to provide the needed knowledge and hands-on-skills for all students. The process of delivery allows students the opportunity to work with faculty on one-on-one basis creating the room for mentorship as well as individual initiative for innovation and creativity. This allows graduate students to be responsible for their own progress towards their study
The University presents a highly conducive environment for a long lasting graduate study experience such as engaging with scholars from around the world, organisation of career focused conferences, seminars and trainings. Attention is equally placed on exhibitions and industry engagement for the transfer and harnessing of acquired skills set whilst providing networking opportunities to further create a strong alumni base.

The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) of Ho Technical University (HTU) was established in July, 2015 with a key mandate of training highly competent human resource at the graduate level. The SGS supports the University’s Strategic Plan 2017-2022 by providing strategies or tactical plan to devote more resources efficiently to graduate education and scholarship, enhancing student support initiatives for graduate students, strengthening the University’s identity as a research and innovation institution or hub. The School is responsible for coordinating interdisciplinary graduate programs within the University.
